Project Overview
Over the past several years, Yolo County and the Yolo County Flood Control & Water Conservation District have been seeking funding opportunities to perform a current and reliable hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) evaluation for the Central Yolo County area, as well as investigate a variety of flood risk reduction alternatives to measure their effectiveness and feasibility.
Project Vicinity Map
In 2024, the County received a grant from FEMA under the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) for the “Central Yolo County Flood Mitigation Study (Project)”. MBK Engineers was selected as the consultant for the Project and started work on the effort in early 2025. Work was completed in early 2026.
