Priority will be given to low-income households, farmworkers, seniors (65+), households with children, and individuals with disabilities.

After you receive confirmation of your Weatherization Kit request, you’ll get:
- A free kit filled with simple, do-it-yourself energy-saving items like LED bulbs, weatherstripping, and window insulation film.
- Bilingual instructions to help you easily install the items.
- Tips on how to maximize your savings and improve home comfort.
How Does This Fit into the Yolo Energy Partnership (YEP)?
The Weatherization Program is part of the broader Yolo Energy Partnership (YEP)—a County initiative to help unincorporated Yolo County residents save energy, reduce utility costs, and make homes more efficient.
Once you receive your kit, you may also qualify for additional YEP programs:
- Home Energy Score (HES) Pilot Program: Apply for a free home energy assessment to learn how your home uses energy and get a personalized report with recommendations to help you save more.
- VCE Electric Advisors: Call for personalized assistance to help identify and apply for rebates and incentives related to energy improvements.
