This program provides free DIY weatherization kits to eligible households, enabling them to reduce energy consumption and lower utility bills.

Priority will be given to low-income households, farmworkers, seniors (65+), households with children, and individuals with disabilities.

After you receive confirmation of your Weatherization Kit request, you’ll get:

• A free kit filled with simple, do-it-yourself energy-saving items like LED bulbs, weatherstripping, and window insulation film.
• Bilingual instructions to help you easily install the items.
• Tips on how to maximize your savings and improve home comfort.

The Weatherization Program is part of the broader Yolo Energy Partnership (YEP)—a County initiative to help unincorporated Yolo County residents save energy, reduce utility costs, and make homes more efficient.

• Home Energy Score (HES) Pilot Program: Apply for a free home energy assessment to learn how your home uses energy and get a personalized report with recommendations to help you save more.
