WHO ARE WE?
In September 2020, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors approved a Climate Emergency Declaration (Resolution No. 20-114) which set a countywide goal of achieving a carbon negative footprint by 2030, while ensuring a just transition to an inclusive, equitable, sustainable, & resilient local economy.
This Resolution called for the creation of the Yolo County Climate Action Commission (YCCAC), an eleven-member advisory body charged with the development and implementation of the 2030 Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) and ensuring vulnerable, marginalized, and historically underserved communities are centered in the process.
