Background

In December 2024, the Yolo County Board of Supervisors adopted the Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), which outlines a framework to achieve net-negative greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. The plan emphasizes equity and collaboration with local organizations, schools, and community groups to drive impactful climate action.

The CAAP outlines 73 Phase I Actions scheduled for implementation between 2025 and 2027. These Phase I Actions focus on tangible, high-impact initiatives that will enhance community resilience, sustainability, and climate action across Yolo County. Making early progress on Phase I actions is key to achieving our ambitious climate goals.

While the contract template is standardized, details specific to your project will be added upon award.

In addition, awardees must meet all insurance requirements as specified in Exhibit "A" - Yolo County Insurance Requirements. Proof of insurance must be submitted before funds are disbursed. We encourage applicants to review these requirements in advance to ensure compliance.
