The nomination period for the following offices on the ballot for the November 3, 2026, General Election has been extended until Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. for contests where an eligible incumbent did not file their nomination papers by the end of the nomination period at 5:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026. The nomination period extension is only applicable to candidates other than the incumbent.

Nomination is still open for the following offices: 

Governing Board Member:

Yuba Community College District, Trustee Area 5

Davis Joint Unified School District, Trustee Area 1

Esparto Unified School District, Trustee Area 5

River Delta Unified School District, Trustee Area 5

Woodland Joint Unified School District, Trustee Area 1

Woodland Joint Unified School District, Trustee Area 7

City of Davis, Member, City Council, District 1

City of West Sacramento, Member, City Council, District 3

City of Woodland, Member, City Council, District 1

Candidates seeking a city office must file their nomination paperwork with the appropriate City Clerk’s Office. If you wish to run for any of these offices, you must complete and file your nomination paperwork with the appropriate City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2026. Candidate statements of qualification and applicable candidate statement fees are due at the time nomination documents are filed.
