In celebration of Earth Week, Yolo County is launching a new Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP) Dashboard, an interactive, public-facing tool designed to help residents explore the County’s climate goals, access resources, and track progress toward a more sustainable and resilient Yolo County.
“After extensive community input and involvement, we are pleased that we have our CAAP plan in place,” stated Yolo County Board of Supervisors Chair Sheila Allen. “This dashboard will allow the community and staff to see in real time the progress that we’re making towards our aspirational goals.”
The launch marks a key milestone in the County’s commitment to achieving net-negative greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. This ambitious target supports healthier communities, advances locally driven climate solutions across natural lands, agriculture, and the built environment and promotes cost savings through efficiency and incentives.
Adopted in 2024, the CAAP provides a roadmap for reducing emissions, strengthening community resilience, and supporting a sustainable local economy. The new dashboard brings that plan to life, making it easier for residents, businesses, and community members to monitor progress, understand priorities, and identify opportunities to get involved.
“The dashboard is about transparency, accountability, and action,” said Kristen Wraithwall, Sustainability Manager. “It reflects the County’s commitment to openly share progress while connecting our community with accessible resources and opportunities to help shape a more resilient future together.”
Funded through the American Rescue Plan (ARP), the CAAP Dashboard will continue to evolve with updated data, new incentives, and expanded resources over time.
Residents are encouraged to explore the dashboard and pledge to take action at ClimateAction.YoloCounty.gov.
