Presented by HHSA, this class will cover fruit tree pruning, common fruit tree pests and how to control them, as well as tips on how to improve the lifespan of your fruit trees. Winter is the ideal time to care for your fruit trees to support healthy growth and productivity.

This class is open to all and is part of HHSA’s commitment to providing education that supports healthy eating and active lifestyles. Pre-registration is required by Friday, January 30. To register, contact Nick Gazda at Nick.Gazda@YoloCounty.gov or at (530) 666-8429.

The Bauer Building is located at 137 N. Cottonwood Street in Woodland, next to the HHSA Hanna and Herber Bauer Memorial Community Garden. Due to weather, the class will be held indoors in the Walker and Thompson conference rooms. A free, informal garden and orchard tour with a Q&A discussion will commence following the class, weather permitting.

Community garden classes are offered for free throughout the year by HHSA. Interested residents can learn more about upcoming garden activities and classes by visiting www.YoloCounty.gov/garden.
