PRESS RELEASE
Rev. Timothy Malone will lead a presentation titled “A True King” on Wednesday, January 14 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mary L Stephens-Davis Branch Library, located at 315 E. 14th Street in Davis.
Rev. Malone will present an informative program honoring Dr. King Jr., sharing his firsthand experiences in the Civil Rights and Human Rights Movement. He will also share personal stories from his work with Rev. Jesse Jackson as well as personal conversations with Rev. Ralph Abernathy, NFL Legend Jim Brown, and activist comedian Dick Gregory.
Rev. Malone is a community activist, campus and community minister, retired Woodland Joint Unified School District teacher, and the founder and president of the local Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Fund.
The presentation is free to attend, and no reservation is required. The program is sponsored and supported by Friends of the Davis Public Library.
